Matt Shoberg has dedicated his entire life to building. After graduating from Texas Tech with a degree in Construction Engineering, he pursued his dream of owning a construction firm. Today, that dream is a reality with Shoberg Homes, a luxury market leader known for its commitment to transparency and communication.

With almost 20 years of experience, Matt has honed his process and learned that open books and a cost-plus model are essential to building trust with clients. At Shoberg Homes, every aspect of the construction process is focused on excellence, from the employees to the trades.

But Matt’s commitment to his work is just one aspect of his dedication to his community. He’s involved with several organizations, including PIVOT, Austin Habitat for Humanity, Foundation Communities, and Community First. He also coaches his sons’ sports teams and spends quality time with his family.

Doug graduated with a business degree from the University of Georgia before embarking on a 20-year career in high-end residential construction. This path allowed him to combine his creative abilities with a strong discipline in business. He has held many leadership roles in the industry, including President of the Home Builders Association of Georgia, and he has received multiple Builder of the Year awards.

Doug is a true believer in continuing education, having attended numerous Building Science, Green Building, and other industry seminars throughout his career. He helps shape the blueprint of success for the company. Doug enjoys working with clients and architects of Shoberg Homes through the design, planning, and construction phases of a project, helping navigate the various options available in the market today. He clearly understands the investment each owner is making and the importance of getting the details right, which includes not only the level of finishes, but also accuracy with budgets and schedules. Doug believes in clear and concise communication between the build team and the clients. He wants to ensure the entire process is a fun and rewarding experience for all involved – especially for the customer building their dream home. Doug relocated to Austin in 2011, and loves experiencing the local live music scene and fitness culture with friends and family.

Scott was born in Charlotte, NC before his parents relocated to the Houston area. He was always interested in building things, drawing, and playing sports while growing up. This led him to study architecture at Texas A&M where he also minored in business and was a member of the track & field team. Scott began his career with an architectural firm that designed very large residential projects all around the United States.

Drawing construction documents and details for comprehensive projects was a tedious assignment, one that would be extremely beneficial as he transitioned into design build. It also gave him an opportunity to see a variety of home styles and travel to jobs sites that would expose Scott to building methods in diverse areas of the country. This experience eventually led him to start his own Design Build firm in 1997, where he built in the most distinguished gated communities in Houston for 18 years. Scott was responsible for all phases of project management including design management, controlling budgets, negotiating subcontracts, and providing day-to-day communication with the project team to ensure jobs remain on schedule and within budget. He is a team player and holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects, and engineers, resulting in successful construction experiences for everyone on the project team. He clearly understands the investment each owner is making and the importance of getting the details right, which includes not only the level of finishes, but also accuracy with budgets and schedules. Upon relocating to Austin to be closer to their children in 2015, Scott joined a highly respected builder to continue gaining experience overseeing all phases of multi-million-dollar construction projects. He later joined Shoberg Homes as a Project Manager and was quickly promoted to Vice President of Construction. When not building beautiful dwellings, Scott is a devoted family man. With his wife, Kristin, he has four children; two daughters that have graduated from the University of Texas, one son that has graduated from Texas A&M, and a son at Lake Travis High School. They recently welcomed a son in law to the family and enjoy living in the Austin area.
